March 17 EC : Singlehood and Purity

Singlehood and Purity – one of many topics that have been, in a way, very underrated in the world today, yet ONE that the younger generation crucially need to learn.

Singlehood and Purity was the 4th and last topic of a 4-part Body Builder series that was launched in Eklektos Celebration beginning 3rd February, in the direction of building stronger families. Janice spoke, outlined and emphasized 8 building blocks how to be healthy single, here goes:

Þ Respect Authority
Þ Aim to be Responsible
Þ Build Healthy Relationships
Þ Manage Finances Well
Þ Make Good Decisions
Þ Love to Serve Others
Þ Commit to a Local Church
Þ Guard Moral Purity

Many youths stepped up to the front isle for a time of prayer, rededicating their lives and setting their convictions right with God. Many tears were shed. God was slowly doing His work in each one of them. Thumbs up to the ET and adult helpers who prayed over our youths!

The following week, there was cell discussion on the topic, mainly to “freshen up” their memory, and also to get some feedback on what they think about the topic. The feedback was quite positive, and it was really nice to see young people stating out their convictions on dating and purity.

I personally think that this is one of the topics that the youths today really need to learn. With the corrupted ‘world’ view of purity and all, as a Christian youth, one must hold firm to their convictions in order to not fall in the ways of the sinful. Way to go, Janice! And God, You made it all happen! Amen.
